Billingham travelled to Washington and brought home the three points with three unanswered second half goals.

Synners started on the front foot with a Jack Winstanley through ball sending debutant Carl Williams in on goal, his shot was well saved from Washington keeper Kieren Proctor. Then a Mitch Noble run on the left threatened the home defence; Proctor again coming out on top to deny.

Synthonia continued to threaten with Matty Willshaw being released on goal, but the advancing Proctor stopped his shot on goal, the loose ball fell for Noble, but his shot was blocked by a defender.

More chances for Billingham saw Williams cross from the left for Willshaw who took the ball past a defender before firing over the bar. Then WIlliams from the right angle of the penalty area also saw his shot over the frame of the goal.

As the half came to a close there was another couple of chances for Willshaw as firstly he shot wide of the target and then the striker again went past a defender with a strong run on the right before seeing Proctor block his shot.

After the break Washington had a chance when a corner from the right was headed over by Mason Burton. Billingham were soon back on the offensive though with Williams advancing on goal on the left with Proctor again denying the forward with a good block. The resulting corner saw Callum Banki have a shot blocked and then Willshaw seeing Proctor again save from his close range shot.

The opening goal eventually came for Synthonia in the 59th minute with Winstanley on the right sending a ball into the box where MITCH NOBLE angled his header beyond the diving Proctor and into the net.

A Willshaw shot went wide before Synners extended their lead in the 72nd minute with Jonny Peacock sending a ball forward for CARL WILLIAMS to beat the offside, advance on goal and take the ball past Proctor to fire into the net for a debut goal.

Billingham continued to create chances with Willshaw seeing his low shot saved by Proctor. The forward then carved out another chance in the box but saw his shot just over the bar.

A Cameron Wilson shot was blocked before Billingham added a third goal when, in the 87th minute, Peacock cut his pass back to substitute Jack Caygill who saw his shot on goal bundled home from close range by MATTY WILLSHAW.
