Synners were soon on the scoresheet though when in the 6th minute Declan Brown advanced and squared a pass in the box for MATTY WILLSHAW to fire home under the keeper.

The visitors advanced and Lewis Johnson had a shot on goal which was comfortable for Synners debutant keeper Ben Taylor. Billingham responded with Jack Winstanley firing over from the edge of the penalty area.

Chances were created by Synners to extend the lead before the break with Willshaw playing to Brown who tried to lob the keeper, but Halton got a good hand to the ball to deny him. Then a Joe Scaife-Wheatley free-kick saw Brown glance a header just wide.

Half-time: Synners 1, Washington 0

After the break and Billingham continued to create chances with Willshaw sending in a low shot from outside the box which Halton gathered. Then Brown picked out Willshaw who found the net with his lifted shot over the keeper only to be flagged offside.

Substitute Ash Lavan saw the near side netting with his shot from the left. Then Lavan played across goal for Mitch Noble to find the net; an offside flag again ruled out the effort.

Billingham eventually found a second goal with Noble on the right sending in a cross which Willshaw let run for DECLAN BROWN to fire home in the 81st minute.

Halton made a smart save from Willshaw before the keeper was sent off for a handball outside the box in the 87th minute.

There were further chancs for Synthonia as the game closed out with another offside ruling out a strike.
