Synthonia made the Friday night trip to Redcar Town and continued their unbeaten run with two second half goals securing the three points.

An early long range shot from the right from Luke Hogan was comfortable for Redcar keeper Michael Algie. Then the hosts had a chance with a free-kick into the box seeing a shot just past the left hand post.

A through ball from Matty Willshaw sent Hogan in on goal to the left, but he ws denied by a good defensive tackle as chances for both sides were kept to a minimum.

Redcar advanced and a shot on goal brought a good block out of Billingham keeper Ollie Simpson. Synners responded with debutant Craig Hutchinson shooting on goal from the right which Algie was behind to make the save to leave the half goal-less.

After the restart and Redcar found the net with Synthonia struggling to clear the ball, however an offside flag denied them the lead.

Synners then opened the scoring in the 52nd minute when Alfie Simpson floated a ball into the box from the right for ASH LAVAN to guide a header beyond Algie and in.

Willshaw came close to doubling the lead when he blocked a pass from the keeper, but Algie recovered to regain the ball at the feet of the striker. Redcar responded with a Clark Reader shot wide of the target.

Synners made sure of the points with a second goal in the 92nd minute with a Joe Scaife-Wheatley free-kick from the left into the box seeing a couple of blocks before CRAIG HUTCHINSON shot the ball home from close range.
