Billingham hosted Prudhoe Youth Club Seniors and took the three points with three second half goals after going a goal down.

Prudhoe started the game the better and after a free-kick from Sam Dibb-Fuller was pushed wide by Synners keeper Ollie Simpson they saw sight of goal again with a shot from the right being saved by Simpson.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute when after some good play down the right flank, the ball was played inside to BEN DIBB-FULLER who found the bottom right corner of the net with his shot from a tight angle from the left.

Prudhoe continued to have the better of the attacking play with a shot from inside the box being dragged wide of the target. Synthonia responded with a Joe Scaife-Wheatley free-kick into the box being headed wide from Luke Hogan.

A good chance to level the game went by for Synners as Ash Lavan collected from a clearance from Prudhoe keeper Matthew Cassap which resulted in the keeper being out of position; Lavan playing to Jack Winstanley who could only shoot over an empty goal.

Billingham finished the half strongly with a Scaife-Wheatley corner from the right being headed straight at Cassap from Alfie Simpson. Then a shot from Lewis Porritt struck the cross bar. Lastly, Hogan from inside the box, shot narrowly over the frame of the goal.

Half-time: Synners 0, Prudhoe YC Seniors 0

An early second half chance saw Jamie McLeod cross from the left for Winstanley who shot wide, but Synthonia were soon level when in the 55th minute JOE SCAIFE-WHEATLEY sent in a free-kick from a central position 30 yards out which Cassap couldn't hold and the ball crept into the net.

Billingham advanced again with Hogan and McLeod combining on the left with the latter crossing for Matty Willshaw who saw his volley on goal being saved by Cassap before his second effort was blocked by a defender.

A move forward from Prudhoe saw Simpson save before Synthonia took the lead of the game in the 71st minute. A ball out of defence from Jamie Davis stayed in play along the left touch-line where a defender played back to his keeper; MATTY WILLSHAW took advantage as he sped to intercept the ball and then kept his footing to net from close range.

Synners made it three with a goal in the 87th minute when after a Prudhoe free-kick was blocked a clearance was sent upfield for Willshaw who held off a defender and played to JACK WINSTANLEY in the box who took a touch before finding the right side of the net.
