An early Synners chance saw Jack Winstanley win possession of the ball and played to Joe Scaife-Wheatley who threaded a pass for Carl Williams who saw his shot saved by Jarrow keeper Jak Wells.

The opening goal came in the 15th minute when Ash Lavan played forward to Carl Williams on the edge of the box and his pass was mis-judged by a defender allowing MATTY WILLSHAW to take possession and he rounded the keeper before slotting home.

Billingham extended their lead in the 23rd minute when a clearance out of defence gave ASH LAVAN a run on goal and he finished well with a low shot past Wells into the bottom right corner of the net.

Synthonia added a third goal before the break when, in the 40th minute, Scaife-Wheatley played into ASH LAVAN who turned a defender on the edge of the box before firing home a shot into the bottom left corner of the goal.

Half-time: Jarrow 0, Synners 3

Synners continued to threaten after the restart with a Scaife-Wheately shot comfortable for Wells. Then penalty claims were waved away when it looked like Willshaw was bundled over from behind.

Jarrow had a chance to get back in the game when a shot on goal forced Billingham keeper Ollie Simpson to tip the ball over the bar. The resulting corner saw a shot from long range which Simpson was down to, to make the save.

A fourth goal for Synthonia came in the 66th minute with Williams trading passes with Winstanley; Williams making a run to the left bye-line before playing across goal from the left for MATTY WILLSHAW to see the ball home from close range.

Billingham stayed on the front foot as Lavan played from the right to Williams who shot over the bar. Then Lavan from the left played to Winstanley who saw his shot saved by Wells.

Synners capped off the afternoon with a fifth goal in the 91st minute with a long ball forward from skipper Alfie Simpson seeing a mix-up between defender and keeper allowing substitute RYU WILLIAMSON to prod home into an empty net.
