Synthonia made the trip to Horden with a goal in each half for the hosts securing them the three points.

An early chance for Synners saw Mitch Noble advance on the right with Horden keeper Craig Foster and a defender combining to deny him. Horden responded with a shot from outside the box which went just past the left hand upright.

Billingham had two good chances when firstly Lewis Porritt beat the offside on the right and ran on goal where he took the ball past the keeper but saw a covering defender stop his shot. Then Noble on the right bye-line pulled back for Jonny Peacock who could only see his shot over the bar.

A Jack Pounder shot from the home side deflected wide before they opened the scoring in the 35th minute when a left sided corner saw a header on goal which was tipped onto the post by Synners keeper James Young, but the ball fell kindly for JACK POUNDER to touch it into the net.

Both sides had chances before the break as firstly a Horden shot was deflected onto the cross-bar from Captain Liam Travers. Then Billingham were awarded a penalty kick on the stroke of half-time when Alex Bruton was fouled in the box; Bruton though, saw Foster save his spot-kick.

After the break and the hosts had a chance with a header over the bar from a corner. Synners then advanced with Matty Willshaw shooting from the right in the box, but straight at Foster.

Horden doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute with TAYLOR CAMPBELL sending in a great strike from outside the box over Young and in.

Further chances for the hosts saw a shot go just wide, then a shot from distance was pushed wide by Young.

The last chance of the game came to Billingham when substitute Leo Kirkbride saw his shot blocked by a defender with the loose ball dropping for Jack Winstanley who saw his shot stopped on the goal line from Foster.
