Synners hosted Boldon CA and took the three points in a convincing 5-0 win.

Early Billingham chances saw Tyler Miley shoot from the edge of the penalty area just over the cross-bar. Then Jack Winstanley from the left fired a shot over the keeper with the ball hitting the bar before being cleared.

A Declan Brown effort was cleared off the goal-line as Synthonia continued to carve out chances. They soon opened the scoring though when, in the 20th minute, Joe Scaife-Wheatley sent in a right wing corner for DECLAN BROWN to head home.

Two minutes later and Billingham doubled their advantage with a long ball out of defence from Alfie Simpson seeing Boldon keeper George Briggs mis-judge the ball allowing LUKE HOGAN to be in on goal and firing into an empty net.

A long range effort from Matty Willshaw was stopped by Briggs and then a Lewis Porritt effort was also blocked by the keeper as Synners continued to put pressure on the visiting goal.

Synthonia then added a third goal in the 33rd minute with another Scaife-Wheatley corner from the right reaping rewards as his flag-kick was met by an ALFIE SIMPSON header home to give them a healthy half-time lead.

Half-time: Synners 3, Boldon CA 0

Synners continued where they left off after the restart with Brown setting up Willshaw who saw his shot wide. Then a Scaife-Wheatley corner from the right again found the head of Simpson who this time headed over the bar.

A fourth goal came on the hour mark as Jamie Davis played a ball forward which was latched onto by MATTY WILLSHAW who jinked his way through a couple of defenders in the box and finding the right side of the goal with his shot.

Hogan had a couple of shots on goal which Briggs was a match to and then Willshaw saw a couple of shots wide as Synners looked to further extend their lead.

Billingham capped a fine afternoon's work with a fifth in the 79th minute as two substitutes combined with Ryu Williamson on the right finding STEVIE JOHNSON who fired a left footed half volley past Briggs and in.
