Kurtis Howes shot from the edge of the box in a central position, but Algie saved comfortably. Synners continued to probe and a Chapman free-kick from the left went just over the bar.

Redcar Town opened the scoring in the 31st minute when they broke quickly and a cross from the right was headed in from CARL WILLIAMS.

Synthonia had chances to level before the break with Chapman crossing from the right for Howes who brought a great save out of Algie. A Matty Wilson cross from the left then reached Howes sliding in; Algie again though making the save.

The home side made advances early in the second half and Synners keeper Jaan Yaqub twice denied them with good saves. They continued to have the upper hand as a dipping shot on the hour mark from the edge of the box went just over the bar.

Another shot from the edge of the box was straight at Yaqub before Redcar were reduced to ten men in the 74th minute when Nico Weatherald was shown a straight red following a lunge on Fred Woodhouse.

A corner from the right for Billingham saw a header on goal pushed wide by Algie and then a Jimmy Ward shot from the edge of the box saw Algie comfortably save as Synthonia looked to get back in the game.

Synners had a golden chance to level as the game entered added-on time when they were awarded a penalty after Algie felled Howes in the box. Algie though would deny Howes as he dived the right way to save his spot-kick to give his side the points.
