Synthonia made the mid-week trip to Willington to face Durham City and got back to winning ways in a 6-2 win.

Billingham started the game on the front foot and created numerous chances to open the scoring but unable to convert any into goals.

The opening Synners goal came after 25 minutes with a Liam Waters corner from the right dropping to KURTIS HOWES who saw the ball home from close range.

Durham levelled the game up in the 35th when a Ross Pearson free-kick on the right was headed past Synners keeper Decklan Greenwood by Citizens skipper LEWIS HEAP.

Billingham re-gained the lead after 39 minutes; a quickly taken free-kick on the left from Captain Foster Garton to Jimmy Ward saw him play the ball across goal for BEN HENDERSON at the back post who toook a touch to take him past the keeper before slotting home.

A third goal for Synthonia came on the stroke of half-time when in the 45th minute Ward crossed from the left for KURTIS HOWES to net his second of the game.

The home side were back in it with a second goal in the 49th minute when a free-kick from distance from BRANDON TURNBULL took a wicked bounce in front of Greenwood and the ball continued it's journey into the net.

Synners restored their two-goal advantage in the 55th minute with KURTIS HOWES grabbing his hat-trick as he capitalised on a loose back pass to fire home across goal from the right.

A fifth for Billingham came in the 64th minute as Jack Bailey slipped a ball in to DANNY CHAPMAN in the box who turned and shot home.

The scoring was wrapped up in added-on time as KURTIS HOWES scored his fourth of the game in the 92nd minute; Chapman played the ball in from the right to Howes on the left who shot home first-time.
