At a Blustery Boldon there was little in the way of goal chances from either side in the opening 20 minutes other than a Kurtis Howes shot which was comfortable for Boldon keeper Aaron Steavens and a shot from the hosts which went well over the bar.
Billingham threatened mid-way through the half as Jack Bailey floated a ball to Foster Garton who could only head wide of the target. Boldon responded with a long range shot from Steven Graham which was comfortable for Synners keeper Jaan Yaqub.
Synners came close after half an hour with Howes in on goal going round the keeper but was forced wide by Steavens, Howes though played back into the box for Max Craggs who saw his rasping shot only inches over the bar.
The last chances of the half saw a Boldon shot from the edge of the box which Yaqub stopped. Billingham then advanced with Ben Henderson shooting wide.
Half-time: Boldon Community Association 0, Synners 0
Synthonia were on the front foot after the restart as Howes saw a shot over the bar and then a Craggs long range shot going just wide of the target.
Billingham continued to look for the opener as Craggs sent in a dipping free-kick which went just over the cross-bar and then substitute Chris Hardy on the left sent in a cross across goal which Craggs just couldn't get on the end of.
Synthonia found the breakthrough with a goal in the 67th minute as Craggs laid off to KURTIS HOWES who advanced into the box and saw his shot from the left beyond the keeper and into the far side of the net.
Synners looked to double their advantage with Craggs getting on the end of a Jimmy Ward cross, but saw his header go over. It was Boldon though who found the net with an equalising goal in the 74th minute. A cross from the right was cleared only as far as LEVI COLLINS who shot home from inside the penalty area.
A Howes shot was straight at the keeper and a Craggs shot from close range was blocked by a defender as Synthonia pressed to re-gain the advantage.
Howes saw sight of goal again as full time approached when Craggs played to the forward from the left; his shot going just past the right hand upright. Synners got their reward with virtually the last kick of the game in the 93rd minute; Craggs' throw-in from the left was flicked on and CONNOR JOHNSON reacted to stab the ball home just inside the right hand post.
