Synthonia travelled to Ryton for this Friday night fixture and took the three points thanks to a Ben Henderson hat-trick and a John Howard goal.

It was the home side who opened the scoring when in the 5th minute SCOTT BAMBOROUGH picked up possession outside the box and spotting keeper Jaan Yaqub off his line, floated a shot into the net.

A shot from the left from Ryton was blocked by Yaqub as they looked to double their lead. Synners though, levelled the game up in the 21st minute as Clark Kay crossed into the box from the left where JOHN HOWARD volleyed the ball home beyond keeper Daniel Gladstone.

Billingham turned the game on it's head as they took the lead just a minute later as Matty Wilson played to BEN HENDERSON who saw his shot take a slight deflection off a defender and into the net beyond the diving Gladstone.

Synners continued to threaten the host's goal as Mason McNeill made a strong run on the right and played to Henderson who brought a great save out of Gladstone and then skipper Foster Garton had a shot on goal, but over the bar.

Synthonia had strong penalty shouts waved away as McNeill again made a strong run into the box only to be brought down, the defender just getting enough of the ball.

A third goal came in the 44th minute with Howard making a good run on the left and playing to BEN HENDERSON who lifted his shot over Gladstone and into the net.

Half-time: Ryton & Crawcrook Albion 1, Synners 3

Ryton looked to get back into the game, but Billingham were organised in defence and limited them to only a couple of long range shots which were comfortable for Yaqub.

Synthonia made sure of the points with a fourth goal in the 77th minute with BEN HENDERSON claiming his hat-trick; Garton played a long ball along the left flank and Henderson won possession off a defender before sending his shot home.

Henderson came close to adding another when he cut in from the left and floated a shot towards goal, but Gladstone was a match to the shot as he pushed the ball past the post.

The home side were reduced to ten-men in the 88th minute when defender Carl Paterson was shown a second yellow after impeding Henderson, his first caution came in the first half for an off-the-ball incident.
