Billingham travelled to Brandon and lost out 2-1 after being reduced to ten men after a Mason McNeill red card in the 13th minute.

Early Synners chances saw both Kurtis Howes and Danny Chapman have shots on goal from the edge of the box; both wide of the target.

Synthonia were reduced to ten men when McNeill cut in from the left with a strong run and was adjudged to have illegally challenged Jack Armstrong and shown a straight red card.

A shot from the home side went harmlessly over before Synners were back on the offensive with Chapman crossing from the right for John Howard who headed wide. Then an Oscar Fletcher free-kick was met by a Clark Kay header on goal, but straight at Brandon keeper Max Coombes.

Billingham continued to press as Jimmy Ward headed wide a Chapman cross and then following a Fletcher run into the box, Chapman saw his close range effort blocked by the keeper and Howes with another close range effort was denied by a defensive block.

Billingham opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 51st minute after Howes was fouled in the box. KURTIS HOWES stepping up to convert the spot-kick.

Brandon were soon level, also from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute following a Kay foul in the box; REECE BROWN scoring from twelve yards out.

The home side threatened on the hour with a corner from the right seeing a header on goal which Synthonia keeper Dan Dixon tipped over the bar. Synners responded with Chapman on the right crossing to the far side for Callum Banki who could only drag his shot wide.

Brandon gained the advantage with a second goal in the 64th minute with two substitutes combining as Brandon Turnbull crossed from the right for JAMES CONNOR to head home.

There were further chances for Billingham, but they left empty handed as Fletcher saw a shot deflect wide, Ben Henderson shooting just over the bar and Howes also shooting narrowly over.
