After a run of six home league fixtures, Synners went on the road with a mid-week trip to Chester-le-Street and came home with the three points.
Synthonia were on the front front from the off and after a Ciaran Banks run forward on the right was stopped, they gained a free-kick after a foul on Brad Mills, also on the right which Banks sent over the bar in the 9th minute. A couple of minutes later and Foster Garton cleared out of defence for Banks who played on for Kurtis Howes; his shot charged down by the home defence.
The Cestrians came back at Synners and after 18 minutes a cross from the right to the far side saw a header clip the top of the bar. Then a left wing cross saw a stab at goal which Synners keeper Jaan Yaqub scrambled to push away.
Billingham opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute when after KURTIS HOWES was fouled in the box, he stepped up to cenvert the resulting penalty kick.
Chester-le-Street levelled the game up in the 37th minute when a ball forward to MATTHEW WARD saw him evade a defensive challenge before slotting the ball home.
Synners regained the goal advantage going in at the break with a second after 42 minutes. Luke Bythway played the ball out of defence to Ben Henderson who played in FOSTER GARTON in a central position advancing on goal and prodded the ball past the advancing Chester keeper Jack Wilson and in.

A minute after the restart and a Billingham free-kick found Howes who forced a good save out of Wilson. Chester-le-Street responded with a shot from the right which Yaqub blocked.
The hosts threatened with a shot from the right which Yaqub blocked. Then on the hour, a corner from the left was met by a header which was glanced wide of the target.
Chester tied the game up again in the 69th minute from the penalty spot following a foul by Bythway. LIAM DIXON stepping up to find the net from twelve yards.
The home side threatened again on 82 minutes as they advanced on the right and a cross into the box was met by a Dixon header down on goal which fortunately for Billingham bounced over the bar.
That chance seemed to spark Synthonia up a gear and they regained the lead in the 83rd minute when they won a free-kick which Mills sent in from the right for KURTIS HOWES at the far side to ghost in and fire into the net.
Billingham made sure of the points with a fourth goal in the 90th minute; a long ball out of defence saw substitute DANNY CHAPMAN win the ball off a defender and go past the keeper to slot home.
