Synners left the Norton Sports Complex empty handed as Birtley came from behind to take the three points.
A 7th minute effort from the visitors was the first chance of the match as Chad Collins shot outside the penalty area but saw the ball hit the cross-bar and over.
Billingham opened the scoring in the 28th minute as FOSTER GARTON, making his 150th Synthonia appearance, made a run wide right and saw his shot over the keeper and in off the back post.
Synthonia had chances to double their lead with Joe Scaife-Wheatley seeing a shot from the edge of the box deflect wide and then a Ben Jackson run forward saw him brought down on the edge of the box; Scaife-Wheatley seeing his free-kick over the bar.

Billingham looked to increase their lead after the break with Kurtis Howes seeing a shot blocked. This was followed by a Jackson shot from the right which Birtley keeper Phillip Mills saved at his near post.
Birtley levelled the game up in the 69th minute as a KELVIN THEAR shot from the left took a deflection off a Synners defender and the ball went past keeper James Dawson and in.
The visitors then claimed the three points in the 79th minute when a cross from the right saw a header on goal which Dawson saved; the ball though coming to ANTHONY SMITH who shot home.
