Billingham left Tyneside empty handed as an early and late goal gave Heaton Stannington the three points.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with CONNOR CAMPBELL firing into the far corner past keeper James Dawson with his shot from the right of goal.

Heaton Stannington almost doubled their lead when a forward player went through on goal; Dawson was off his line quickly to make a strong block.

Synners were seeing plenty of possession as the half went on, but couldn't threaten Daniel Regan's goal.

Half-time: Heaton Stannington 1, Synners 0

Some good work from substitute Ben Bielby saw him turn a Heaton player before threading a great pass through to Joe Scaife-Wheatley in the box; Regan though saved well from the Synners skipper. Billingham then threatened again as Regan denied Ben Jackson with a save from his shot from the left.

More chances for Synthonia to level went by as the game entered it's final ten minutes with Jackson shooting over from the edge of the box and then a Scaife-Wheatley corner from the right saw a near post effort go just wide of the target.

The home side made sure of the points with a second goal in the 92nd minute. Billingham were on the offensive before a challenge saw the ball forward to substitute JONATHAN WRIGHT who ran in on goal to net.
