The home side opened the scoring in the 9th minute when a ball in from the left ricocheted off Synners defender JAMES FRAZER and into his own net.

Billingham tied the game up when a long ball up the middle of the pitch wasn't dealt with by the Chester-le-Street defence and KALLUM HANNAH capitalised and prodded the ball home.

The Cestrians re-gained the lead in the 25th minute as a cross from the right saw SCOTT ROBSON head in.

Synthonia saw plenty of the ball in the second half, but without troubling home keeper Alexander Lawrence. They were then reduced to ten men after 70 minutes when Lewis Minter was sent off following a second caution for a hand ball.

Chester-le-Street added a third after 87 minutes when JACK OLIVER shot home low past Callum Roberts after a quick move forward.
