Northallerton were reduced to ten men in the 54th minute when Kerry Hedley was shown a straight red following a challenge with Synners keeper Callum Roberts.
Cameron Wilson saw a shot deflect wide for Synners before Northallerton levelled the game in the 66th minute as NICKY MARTIN did well to the right of goal and found the back of the net.
Another good chance for Synthonia went by as Matty Wilson played across goal from the left for substitute Will Gowan who couldn't get a connection on the ball at the back post. Town then punished Synners with a second goal after Billingham failed to clear in defence and DAMON REAKS pounced on a loose ball to give the visitors the lead.
Northallerton could have made it three late on as Martin was denied by a Roberts block after the striker was through on goal. Billingham almost earned a point in added-on time, but Matty Wilson's shot was blocked on the goal-line.
