Billingham made the midweek trip to Willington to face Durham City and ran out four goal winners with Connor Smith bagging a hat-trick.
After a fairly quite opening half an hour, the game sprung to life in the 31st minute as Synners opened the scoring when Foz Garton played to Alex Bruton on the left who played the ball across goal where CONNOR SMITH saw his shot blocked, but the assistant referee signalled to say the ball crossed the goal-line.
Synthonia doubled their lead just two minutes later with Dom Tiffany playing to Ben Pollock who picked out ALEX BRUTON and the wide man powered his shot past keeper David Smallman and in. Billingham created chances to go further ahead before the break with a Pollock thunderblaster going just wide and then Smith brought a save out of Smallman.
Half-time: Durham City 0, Synners 2
A third goal for Synners came in the 50th minute with Bruton again providing from the left for CONNOR SMITH who took his time picking his spot for his second of the game.
The last goal of the game came after 82 minutes as a kick-out from Smallwood went straight to CONNOR SMITH and the striker didn't need a second invitation as he shot first time into an empty net for his hat-trick.
