The boxing day derby ended goal-less with Town finishing the game with nine men after two dismissals.
The hosts started the better of the two but it was Synners' Tom Bligh who came closest to scoring when his shot was blocked on the goal-line by Town left back Mark Dixon. Alex Bruton followed that shot up five minutes later with an effort stopped with his feet by Town keeper Lewis McDonald.
Billingham Town were reduced to ten men in the 35th minute when Luke Hogan made a rash challenge down the calf of Will Gowan which left Referee Mr McCarrick no option but to issue a straight red card.

Town were denied by some great defensive blocks from James Frazer and Lewis Minter and then debutant teenage keeper Richie Heslin kept them out with a save.
Synners started to make their man advantage count as the game entered it's final stages with Kallum Hannah shooting on goal which was comfortable for Macdonald. Anth McCardle and Ben Pollock then combined with the latter seeing his shot saved ny Macdonald.
The home side were reduced to nine men in the 89th minute when Daniel Flounders received a second caution. Synthonia were denied a winner in added-on time when Hannah's shot was heading in just under the cross-bar before Macdonald tipped over the bar to leave the game all square.
