Synthonia got back to winning ways with a great overall team performance over promotion chasing Chester-le-Street Town.

Billingham opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Louis Johnson played to Alex Bruton on the left who played the ball across goal to FOSTER GARTON who deftly healed the ball into the net from close range. They almost doubled the lead a few minutes later as the ever dangerous Bruton burst through on goal but was denied by a good save from Cestrians keeper Alex Coombes.

There were further chances for Synthonia as a quick free-kick saw Johnson force a save out of Coombes and then Bruton saw a shot deflect inches wide. Synners added a second before the break though, when in the 37th minute, Ben Pollock found Garton who slipped the ball through to CONNOR SMITH to the right in the box and the striker made no mistake as he found the far corner of the net.

Billingham were three up just after the re-start as ALEX BRUTON on the left cut inside a defender and shot home in the 47th minute. Two minutes later and Bruton came close again as he again cut in from the left, but this time shot just over the bar.

The scoring was comlpleted in the 75th minute with Matthew Wilson on the right finding LOUIS JOHNSON to the far side of goal who shot home to give Synners a convincing win and three points.
