Billingham had to settle for a point after letting a two-goal lead slip with all the goals coming in the second half.

Synners had chances to score in the first half with a Charlie Raby corner from the left seeing Ben Pollock's header well saved by visiting keeper Jordan Bolton. Matthew Wilson then forced a save out of Bolton before another Raby corner saw James Frazer shoot narrowly over the bar.

Synthonia opened the scoring in the 66th minute as MATTHEW WILSON took a short corner on the right and recieved the ball back off Pollock; the midfielder went past a defender and found the far corner of the net with his shot.

Synners gave themselves a two-goal cushion in the 75th minute with Pollock sending a through ball to debutant substitute CONNOR SMITH who shot home past the advancing keeper.

Birtley pulled a goal back two minutes later in the 77th minute through JOSEPH BARWICK and then levelled the game up in the 80th minute with substitute RICARDO TANOH capitalising after a Synners defensive mix-up.

The visitors were reduced to ten men in added-on time when Martin Guy was dismissed following a challenge.
