Thornaby opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 27th minute following a foul by Lewis Minter; KURTIS HOWES stepped up to convert from 12 yards.

Billingham levelled the game up after 43 minutes from a free-kick after Foster Garton was brought down by ex-Synners keeper James Dawson when through on goal. KALLUM HANNAH sent his 25-yard free-kick into the the net in off the left hand upright.

Half-time: Thornaby 1, Synners 1

It was the home side who took all three points when they were again awarded a penalty kick after which can only be described as a 'soft' challenge in the box. HOWES again converting from the spot in the 70th minute.
