In an even first half, Penrith finished the stronger and went close when Jordan Lawson made a run at goal and saw his rasping shot only inches over the bar. They opened the scoring in the 44th minute with JONNY MURRAY shooting home.

Chances for Synners saw Ben Jackson go close on a couple of occasions, but it was the Cumbrians who scored next and extended their lead when Jordan Irving chipped the ball over keeper James Dawson and saw the ball clip the cross-bar; MURRAY followed in and tapped the ball home after 82 minutes.

Synthonia halved the deficit in the 85th minute when a free-kick from the right saw Penrith keeper Cameron Copland parry, but onlt to CALLUM WEBSTER at the back post who found the net with his shot. Penrith regained the two-goal advantage just a minte later through substitute CONNOR SHIELDS.
