Synthonia hosted Whitley Bay at the Norton Sports Complex and lost out to an 89th minute Bay goal in a highly entertaining match.

It was Billingham who opened the scoring in the 25th minute as a ball forward to CALLUM HASSAN saw him turn inside a defender on the edge of the box and find the net past Bay keeper Thomas Flynn. Synners almost doubled the lead just a minute later with Craig Hindmarch firing a shot inches over the bar.

Whitley Bay tied the game up from the penalty spot in the 61st minute, THOMAS POTTER converting from twelve yards. Synthonia though, regained the lead in the 71st minute with Foster Garton playing to debutant CRAIG HINDMARCH who arrowed a shot into the top right corner of the goal, leaving Flynn no chance of saving.

Billingham had chances to extend the lead with Hassan and Hindmarch both going close, the visitors though levelled again with a shot from AIDEN HALEY taking a wicked deflection and ending up in the net past a helpless Liam Gibbs on 81 minutes. Bay then grabbed the late winner; substitute SCOTT JASPER getting in front of a defender to head home three points.
