Synthonia won 1-0 at home against Easington Colliery this evening in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Josh Rowbotham's header in the 41st minute from Liam O'Sullivan's cross was enough to give Billingham the points in a hard fought game. Match Report

Billingham won 1-0 away against Heaton Stannington this afternoon in an FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round tie. Chay Liddle's 39th minute free-kick from the left was scrambled home by Liam O'Sullivan in the six-yard box to see Billingham into the next Round. Match Report


Synthonia won 1-0 away against Northallerton Town this evening in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. The only goal of the game came in the 53rd minute when Joe Hillerby shot home first-time from Liam O'Sullivans cross from the left. Match Report


Synners won 8-0 away against Thornaby this evening in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Thornaby were reduced to ten men when Stephen Morrison was sent off for a last man offence on Macaulay Langstaff in the 10th minute. Synthonia then went onto take a three goal half-time lead with goals from Max Craggs (22 mins), Langstaff (33 mins) and Matthew Crust (45 mins). After the break and Billingham continued to find the net with further goals from Craggs (46 mins) and Langstaff (58 mins). Craggs made it a hat-trick when he shot home the rebound after the keeper saved a Danny Brunskill shot (70 mins) and then substitute Brunskill also notched (78 mins). Chay Liddle finished the scoring for Synners with a rifled low shot home (89 mins). Match Report


Billingham won 4-0 at home against Norton & Stockton Ancients this evening at the CLS Sports Stadium in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Chay Liddle gave Synners the lead just before the break when he shot home from Liam O'Sullivan cross (41 mins). Jordan Wilson added a second after he closed down a defender to race through on goal and finished well (57 mins). Substitute Macaulay Langstaff scored a brace when firstly he shot home from close range after Liddle had headed back Wilson's cross (68 mins) and then gained possession and lobbed keeper Michael Campbell (81 mins). Synthonia won 1-0 away against Washington this afternoon in an FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round tie. The only goal of the game came in the 58th minute when Max Craggs shot home from a Nathan Steel header back across goal following a Jordan Wilson cross. Synners lost 3-2 away against Ossett Town this evening in an FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round replay. Macaulay Langstaff gave Billingham a dream start when he found the top right corner of the net with a shot from the left in the 2nd minute, the hosts though tied the game up just after the half hour with Danny Frost firing in after a free-kick hit the bar. Synthonia were quick out of the blocks again in the second period and re-gained the lead when Matthew Crust shot home Sam Garvie's corner (48 mins). Synners held the lead until the last ten minutes of the game when Ossett scored twice with goals from Alex Peterson (82 mins) and Frost (88 mins) to see them advance into the next round. Both sides had a man dismissed deep into added-on time with Synners' David Hillerby and Ossett's Frost both given a straight red. Match Report


Billingham drew 2-2 at home against Ossett Town this afternoon at the CLS Sports Stadium in an FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round tie. Ossett took a one goal half-time lead when Steven Ridley saw his shot from outside the box go in off the underside of the cross-bar (32 mins). The visitors extended their lead after the break when a Ridley corner into a packed six-yard area saw the ball hit a Synners defender and go in (57 mins). Synthonia pulled a goal back when Sam Garvie shot home Macaulay Langstaff's left-wing cross (65 mins). Billingham then scored an equaliser to send the game to a Tuesday night replay when Garvie converted from the penalty spot after Steven Huggins was felled in the box (86 mins). Match Report


Synthonia won 6-1 at home against Darlington RA this afternoon at the CLS Sports Stadium in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Synners opened the scoring early on when Matthew Crust shot home from a Chay Liddle corner (5 mins). RA equalised through Daniel Pigg who latched onto a Jack McLaren kick out to float the ball over the keeper (27 mins). Liddle gave Billingham the lead back after the break when he shot home Anthony Peacock's lay off (50 mins). Two minutes later Sam Garvie put Synners in the ascendancy after the visiting defence didn't clear Liddle's cross (52 mins) and Max Craggs made sure of the result when he fired in from Nathan Steel's pass (67 mins). Further goals from substutute Macaulay Langstaff (75 mins) and a Crust header (90+5 mins) cemented the three points. Match Report


Synners drew 2-2 at home against Hebburn Town this evening at the CLS Sports Stadium in an Ebac Northern League Division 2 match. Max Craggs gave Billingham the lead when headed in a Liam O'Sullivan cross (26 mins). Hebburn levelled the game up with Daniel Chambers heading home in off the post (36 mins). Craggs scored his second to put Synthonia ahead again, but the visitors again equalised with Scott Wallace finding the net (56 mins). Match Report


Billingham won 6-0 at home against Northallerton Town this afternoon at the CLS Sports Stadium in an FA Cup Preliminary Round tie. Synners opened the scoring when Liam O'Sullivan crossed for Chay Liddle who fired in from the edge of the box (21 mins) and extended the lead just a minute later with Anthony Peacock making a run into the box and after his shot was saved, Nathan Steel shot home the loose ball (22 mins). After the break Synthonia made it three when Max Craggs side-footed home Liddle's cross (56 mins). The fourth came from Peacock who latched onto a Steel pass and cut inside a defender and finished well (75 mins). Craggs got his second of the game after bursting into the box (79 mins) and Peacock also got his second, lifting the ball over the keeper from Steel's through ball (90 mins). Match Report


Synthonia drew 2-2 at home against Heaton Stannington this evening at the CLS Sports Stadium in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. It was the visitors who opened the scoring after Synthonia had pretty much dominated when Daniel Robinson blocked a Jack McLaren clearance and the ball bounced into the net (23 mins). Stannington made it two after the break with Robinson again finding the net (50 mins). It looked like it would be one of those nights for Synners as they failed to convert dozens of chances, but they found a breakthrough from the penalty spot when, after Liam O'Sullivan was fouled, Nathan Steel stepped up to convert (68 mins). Billingham found a leveller when O'Sullivan's long throw dropped to Josh Rowbotham in the box who fired home (82 mins). Match Report


Ten-man Synners won 2-0 at home against Ryton & Crawcrook Albion this afternoon at the CLS Sports Stadium in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Billingham were reduced to ten men as early as the 11th minute when Liam O'Sullivan was given his marching orders following a challenge on Mark McMeekin. Synners though went on to win the game thanks to a Nathan Steel brace as he firstly converted from the penalty spot (61 mins) and added a second when he rounded the keeper and picked his spot past a covering defender (79 mins). Synthonia won 4-0 against Durham City this afternoon at the CLS Sports Stadium in an FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round tie. After a goal-less first half, Synners scored four un-answered goals through Max Craggs with a header (47 mins) From a Liam O'Sullivan long throw-in, A Nathan Steel shot (52 mins) again from an O'Sullivan assist and an Anthony Peacock strike (56 mins) before Steel added a fourth to see them through to the next round (62 mins), O'Sullivan again the provider. Synners drew 3-3 at home against West Allotment Celtic this evening at the CLS Sports Stadium in their final pre-season preparation game. Billingham raced into a two-goal lead with Nathan Steel netting a brace as he firstly scored from an acute angle in the box (5 mins) and then finished from close range from Anthony Peacock's square ball (15 mins). Celtic pulled a goal back through Stuart Bramley (24 mins), but Synthonia restored their advantage with Chay Liddle firing in Sam Garvie's cross (44 mins). Allotment scored late on as Dan O'Reilly found the net (89 mins) and tied the game up with the last kick of the game from the penalty spot through Shaun Reay (90+5 mins).


Billingham were in pre-season action again today and won 1-0 over Boro Rangers at the CLS Sports Stadium. Synners left it late with the only goal of the game seeing Chay Liddle slotting home after being set up by Anthony Peacock.


Synthonia continued pre-season with a 5-0 defeat at Marske United this evening. Marske took an early goal when Dale Mulligan headed home a Glen Butterworth left wing corner (3 mins) and doubled their tally ten minutes later as Danny Earl guided a shot home (13 mins). Late second half goal goals gave Marske a healthy score line as Adam Preston (78 mins), Earl (81 mins) and Nathan Plews (89 mins) all found the net.

Synners FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round tie against Durham City will be played at The CLS Stadium, Central Avenue on Saturday August 6th. The tie was reversed due to Consett's pitch, where Durham play their home games, being unavailable.


Billingham continued pre-season with a 1-1 draw away against Washington. The hosts opened the scoring with a shot to the bottom corner of the net (8 mins). Synners were awarded a penalty when Sam Garvie was fouled, Garvie though hit the post with his spot-kick. Chay Liddle tied the game up with a shot from the edge of the penalty area (80 mins).


Synthonia continued pre-season with a 5-0 defeat against Darlington at the CLS Stadium. The visitors opened the scoring in the first period with an early Brown goal (4 mins). A long range Nightingale goal doubled their lead (58 mins). Billingham held up well defensively until the last ten minutes when the Quakers added three more goals through Gaskell (83 mins), Mitchell (85 mins) and Hardy (89 mins).


Synners opened their pre-season preparations with a 5-3 win over Jarrow Roofing. Anthony Peacock opened the scoring for Billingham with a shot from an acute angle (30 mins) and the lead was doubled going in at the break with a Max Craggs free-kick (37 mins). Roofing halved the deficit with a shot past Guy Craggs (56 mins), but Synthonia soon notched again with Danny Brunskill heading home Chay Liddle's cross (58 mins). Goals from Jordan Wilson (64 mins) and Josh Keogh (90 mins) gave Synners a healthy lead, but Roofing scored twice in added-on time to leave the score-line at 5-3.



FA Competition Draws
Billingham have been drawn away to Durham City in the FA Cup extra-preliminary round and away at Washington in the FA Vase 1st Qualifying round.

Synthonia have made further additions to the playing staff after signing striker Danny Brunskill and defender Liam O'Sullivan from Marske United.

Brunskill signs on a non-contract registration whilst O'Sullivan, a highly rated left-back joins the club on a two-year contract.

2016/17 Fixtures
The fixtures for the forthcoming season were released at the Northern League AGM today and Synthonia kick off their league campaign with a home match against Crook Town on Wednesday August 10th. Saturday 6th August has been left blank to accommodate the FA Cup extra-preliminary round which is normally drawn early July. In the Northern League Cup, Synners have been given a 1st Round home tie against Ashington, date to be arranged.

Billingham Synthonia are delighted to announce a trio of signings in midfielders Chay Liddle & Anthony Peacock as well as striker Nathan Steel all on two year contracts until 2018.

Liddle has returned to the club from Guisborough Town. Chay made over 120 appearances for Synthonia in his first spell and was awarded the player of the season in 2012/13. He moved on to Spennymoor Town where he won a Northern League title.

Steel who played for Consett last season, has also joined Synners and was a Middlesbrough academy player and is also previously with Guisborough Town.

Peacock is another Middlesbrough academy player who has spent the last eight years at Spennymoor Town where he helped them win a host of trophies including the Northern League title and the FA Vase.

Synthonia are also delighted that Matthew Crust has opted to remain with the club in signing a two year contract.
