Synners suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat in the last match of the season against Whitley Bay this evening at The PTS Stadium. Bay's Lee Kerr opened the scoring (10 mins), before Synners levelled through Simon Shaw (13 mins). The match was finely balanced until Bay turned rampant midway through the 2nd half. Paul Chow gave the visitors the lead (65 mins). Anthony Woodhouse made it 3-1 (69 mins). Lee Kerr completed the rout and his hat-trick with two further goals in the last 10 minutes (85, 87 mins). Synners took all three points with a 2-0 win at Relegation threatened Washington this afternoon. First half goal from James Magowan (29 mins), and Neil Campbell (44 mins) secured the victory. Magowan was sent off late in the second half for retaliation.

The Charity Match at the PTS Stadium in aid of Age Concern ended in a 6-0 win for the AllStars. A great evening was had by all with £2,825 of cash raised for the charity. Synners on-line would like to congratulate PTS on a succesful and well organised evening.

Durham City were last night crowned Arngrove Northern League Division 1 Champions. Whitley Bay's defeat at Tow Law Town meant that it is now mathematically impossible for them to catch the runaway leaders.
