Synners were looking for their sixth unbeaten game on a run that has seen them play four home games, with three stalemates and one win.
Morpeth took the lead on 14 minutes when HENDERSON fired home from a questionably offside position.
2 minutes later on 16 minutes, Billingham found themselves further behind with HERRON lobbing over 'keeper John Jackson and into the net.
After 20 minutes Billingham striker Neil Campbell looked to have been brought down in the penalty area, but the referee waved play on.
On 22 minutes Campbell again was in the thick of the action as his deflected shot hit the upright.
Synners came forward again after 34 minutes with a good move that ended with Michael Jameson who just failed to cut back his pass to the un-marked Lee Flanagan.

Billingham came out after the break with all cylinders firing. James Beaumont having an effort after 50 minutes that deflected out for a corner.
After 56 minutes Synners had a great move involving Simon Shaw and Michael Jameson, which ended with Campbell blasting wide from an angle.
Billingham didn't have long to wait for a goal as Paul Atkinson mis-cued his shot, the ball fell to JAMES BEAUMONT, whose shot deflected into the back of the net for his first Synthonia goal after 59 minutes.
Now having the upper hand in terms of possession Synners pushed for an equaliser.
After 67 minutes, striker LEE FLANAGAN notched up his first goal of the season as the ball fell to him in the penalty area, leaving the Morpeth 'keeper no chance and the scores level.
It was all Billingham as they pushed forward for the winner. Shaw crossed for Campbell who headed over, then Flanagan set up Jameson who forced an excellent save from the home 'keeper.
After 80 minutes Synners got their reward as Flanagan fired in an effort that was saved by the 'keeper, only to fall to MICHAEL JAMESON to fire the ball in the net from 12 yards for his first Synthonia goal.
Morpeth could have grabbed a late equaliser, but Billingham 'keeper Jackson tipped the effort over the bar on 83 minutes.
Overall a good second-half team performance from Synners after a disastrous first-half when Morpeth scored from their two chances.
