Synners were looking to maintain a perfect start at a breezy Boldon CA Sports ground.
The game started brightly with Synthonia almost scoring through Colin Iley, after two flick ons from Michael Cater and Neil Campbell in the 9th minute.
Billingham though, didn't have to wait long to get on the score sheet. A long free-kick from Goalkeeper Gary Riches found Neil Campbell who flicked it on for COLIN ILEY to comfortably slot home after 16 minutes. This was Iley's 5th goal in 4 games.
The game, being played at a high tempo, was end to end, with both sides having chances.
Then on 20 minutes, the referee spotted a handball by a Synners player in the penalty area, and promptly pointed to the penalty spot. Paul Hodgson stepped up and fired in a decent shot, only to find 'keeper Riches more than a match with a brilliant save to his left to send the ball onto the upright and away to safety.
After 25 minutes Iley found himself in front of goal again, this time however Jarrow 'keeper Frater kept him out.
There was no let-up in chances being created at both ends, and on 27 minutes Jarrow got their reward. RYAN JENKINS found himself clean through and sent a neat shot passed Riches to level the scores
Jarrow could have gone ahead just a minute later when they got clear of the Synners rearguard again. This time Ash Davis went through but was denied with a good save from Riches

Synthonia started the second half the brighter of the two teams and went ahead through NEIL CAMPBELL on 52 minutes. The ball broke loose in the area, and although Campbell never got a full connection, the ball ended up in the back of the net.
Synners were now in control of the game, without creating any further clear-cut chances. Good work in the midfield from Neil Radigan, Michael Cater and Joel Guy always keeping the pressure on. With Iley's runs and Campbell's holding up threatening, but lacking the final product.
Jarrow finnished the stronger of the two teams, with the last ten minutes Synners surviving a couple of close calls, but hanging on to take all three points.
